Dr. Dog and Picasso for Nivea

Looking at my skimpy July posts and realizing we’re nearly into September, I find myself uttering what must be the rallying cry heard throughout the blogosphere: “Where’d all the time go?”

As per usual, I defer to the witty lyricism of Dr. Dog.

Sadly my time was not passed in a nostalgic reverie.  Rather, I spent most of late July and early August methodically collecting and rolling pennies from couch cracks, purse pockets, and drawers; removing staples of from two years’ worth of printed but unread scholarly journal articles (so as to recycle the paper); and washing old lotion/makeup/Clinique free gift containers to re-purpose them as storage containers.  Seriously, though, how cool is this Nivea tin (Exhibit A)?  My older Sister brought it back from Italy some twelve years ago, and I can’t seem to part with it.  My, where does the time go?
I once helped a friend clean out her house before moving and delighted in organizing all her screen printing paints by color and placing all the tubes in the same direction, careful to squeeze all contents toward the cap.  She claimed I’m mildly autistic, and I didn’t argue.
Advice and diagnoses are not only welcome, but encouraged.
